Independent Social Workers

We're a leading provider of independent social work and psychologist assessments, so we're always recruiting highly qualified independent social workers and psychologists to join our team and undertake specialist assessments on our behalf.

All of our independent social workers and independent psychologists are recruited on a self-employed basis. They are instructed solely for their assessment skills, ability and their experience of giving expert opinion in court, so your CV must document these skills and experiences.

We support our ISWs through regular check ins, reviews and drop in sessions as opportunities to discuss issues and share best practice.

We provide a variety of services to local authorities and commissioners including:

Parenting assessments

Special Guardianship Orders

Together and Apart Assessment

Connected Carers

Form F

PAMs

Sibling Assessments

Risk Assessment

Psychologist assessments

Forensic risk assessments

Key responsibilities

Maintain focus on the child or children's needs
Use a strength-based approach
Be fair and non-judgemental
Work with families to establish trust and relationship-based work
Maintain independence and impartiality
Deliver well written, clear, and analytical assessment reports
Ensure that you are upholding social work values and the values of CF Group in everything you do

Applicant Requirements

A minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience, with experience completing child and family assessments
Experience and knowledge of complex childcare cases
Familiar with court processes
Experience providing evidence within court as an expert witness.
Key experience as an assessor
Excellent report writing skills
